We started our business journey in 2020 during Covid 19. I (Chris) had to down tools on a building site. Lockdown was here. A shop in Napier had been sadly closed for months and up for sale. (A new journey began for Paul - Still our Watch Guy!) The 1st Move - clear out! Another 2 mths, 2 families (Thankyou Andrew + Natasha and 7 young people working together we cleaned, refurbished, painted and repaired, built, our 1st stocktake and move from a cash business to new PC Stock management (Linux - Thankyou Andrew), and Electricals .... as much as possible for the new store - "Reborn"! After 50yr's she needed it - and a new frontage included by owner. A few months later - 9th Nov 2020 - Napier Floods. We were flooded out. 2nd Move 3 months and "Cohabitating Businesses" (cut down stock) and our 1st Christmas in Retail at Wool n Things got together. (Thank you Christine and Sue) 3rd Move "Hello Home we've missed you sooo much" 2023 A bright New Sign 'Reflects' OBG passion for new beginnings... "Lets do this" OBG continues its journey along with Tracey and I as we love our community and seek out new gifts, cards and other beautiful things that lift others up and bring kindness, thankfulness and light into your lives.
